The Guayubin basin, like many others, faces growing pressures from industrial, domestic, and agricultural water needs. Effective planning and governance are crucial to balancing resource use, minimizing stress, and avoiding crises. Water management software can help visualize scenarios, guiding decision-makers in implementing efficient, cost-effective solutions for sustainable water use.

On June 20-21, 2024, Dr. Guillermo Mendoza and Ms. Kelley Baxter conducted a four-hour CRIDA training for 40 graduate students and faculty at the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The session was part of a Water Resources Management course by INDRHI and CRYN. The training aimed to identify individuals interested in pursuing a 40-hour CRIDA certification.
