ACP

The European Union firmly believes that culture plays a major role in development. It is a vehicle for integration and peace as well as for economic prosperity and inclusive growth.

Throught the programme ACP-EU (2012-2017) we have witnessed the unique strength that culture brings both on a human level, by bringing people closer together and preserving their heritage, and on an economic level, in terms of job creation and strengthening capability and prosperity of the population.

The results achieved by the actions carried out under the ACP Cultures+ Programme support our view that boosting all aspects of the creative economy facilitates the creation of partnerships, the effective organization of initiatives highly engaging the population, the pooling of artistic wealth and the actual implementation of projects with strong potential in terms of sustainable development and co-creation.

You are invited to go through this virtual stand which describes in detail the achievements accomplished by our joint actions on the ground and confirms the key role played by culture in the sustainable development of our societies and in our mutual understanding.
