Press freedom is a vital tool for sustainable development, peace building and inclusion. As humanity is facing an existential threat, that of climate and environmental crisis, the press is a fundamental contributor to solidifying resilience, giving a voice to the most affected and bringing about meaningful change.

“The celebration of the World Press Freedom Day has evolved into an essential platform for reaffirming the indispensable role of journalism and a free press in fostering democracy, safeguarding human rights, and promoting transparency”
