Artificial Intelligence & Youth
Taking note of the , as well as global trends and the acceleration of AI-powered systems being deployed in almost every field, the Forum will aim to foster the responsible deployment of Artificial Intelligence, enhance understanding amongst civil society partners of the opportunities and potential risks of using AI, and ensure that the voices of youth – those who will face the impacts of decisions made today – are heard clearly.
Organized by the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee in cooperation with UNESCO, the Forum will be a mobilising event to encourage international cooperation, partnerships and networking. Perspectives from UNESCO, NGOs, academics and other stakeholders will be presented, with space for discussion, questions and networking. Youth panels will examine changing modes of interaction and the need for youth to drive policy. The forum will conclude with a mobilising call for NGOs to engage with promoting the Recommendation and encouraging ethical use of Artificial Intelligence.
Designed for , this event will also welcome the participation of other institutions and Member States of UNESCO.
