Award Ceremony of the 2021 UNESCO/Juan Bosch Prize
Jason Haynes (St. Vincent and the Grenadines) was designated as the laureate of the 2021 Edition of the Prize by UNESCO’s Director-General, on the recommendation of an international jury.

The Award Ceremony of the Prize is co-organized by UNESCO, the Dominican Republic National Commission for UNESCO, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, and the Juan Bosch Foundation.
Two hundred persons are expected to attend, including renowned intellectuals, government officials and representatives from civil society. The programme of the ceremony contains a series of interventions related to the official award of the prize as well as an academic panel.
The ceremony will be widely disseminated through social media, TV, radio and written press, both at the national level and internationally.
The ceremony will highlight UNESCO’s commitments to the global agendas in favour of inclusive, sustainable and peaceful societies.
Awarded every two years, the Prize is intended to reward young social scientists who, through their work, contribute to strengthening the links between research and public policies.
