Childrens' Books Illustrations from the BIBIANA Collection

Art does not only belong to the world of adults; illustration for children is a way of bringing two worlds together and instilling an interest in art from an early age.
This is the spirit behind the exhibition of children's book illustrations by Slovak and international artists from the collection of BIBIANA, the International House of Art for Children (Bratislava, Slovakia). All the illustrations presented at the exhibition won prizes at the Bratislava Biennial of Illustrations (BIB). This international exhibition, which features only original illustrations, has been organised under the auspices of UNESCO and the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) since 1967.
The aim of the exhibition is to present the important message of BIBIANA and the BIB in dialogue with UNESCO's values, while giving visibility to the fundamental work of children's book illustration.
Organized by the Permanent Delegation of Slovakia to UNESCO
