Director-General condemns the murder of radio journalist Javid Noori in Afghanistan
The Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay has denounced the killing of Javid Noori in western Afghanistan.
鈥淚 condemn the murder of Javid Noori,鈥 said the Director-General. 鈥淚 urge the authorities to investigate this crime and bring its perpetrators to justice. Violent extremists must not be emboldened through impunity. There can be no justification for murder.鈥
Javid Noori, a government employee and part time broadcaster on Radio Neshat was killed at a roadblock in the province of Farah on 5 January.
