Impact Investment in Fit For Life & MINEPS VII

UNESCO’s Fit for Life programme aims to catalyze investment in sport by developing integrated data and capacity building resources, in order to reveal and operationalize sport’s impact on sustainable development. Impact investment is emerging as an innovative framework for the implementation of this programme, promising data-based, multi-stakeholder investment with lower risk for sport ministries. In order to comprehensively understand this methodology and share it with Member States, an academic report will be drafted, drawing on the findings of this expert roundtable. This report will serve as a touchstone, supporting the rollout of pilot projects, capacity building tools and ministerial pledges in the framework of the Seventh International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport (MINEPS VII, 26-29 June 2023, Baku, Azerbaijan).
