Join the presentation of the results of the National Forum on Arts Education (Chile)

The UNESCO Representation in Chile (UNESCO Santiago) will present the results of the National Forum on Arts Education: Voices and Proposals for the Future of Arts Education in Chile in an event that will be broadcast on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM (Chile) via the Facebook page of Arts Education Week (SEA).

During the event, the contents of the analytical document 鈥淰oices of Arts Education in Chile: Analysis of a Participatory Process鈥 and the results of the national reflection process on arts education in Chile will be presented. Additionally, the document 鈥淧roposals for Arts Education in Chile: Guidelines for Public Policy鈥 will be launched.

The event will feature commentary from Elisa Araya, Rector of the Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences (UMCE); Arnoldo Weber, Manager of the Cultural Corporation Artistas del Acero; and Andrea Guti茅rrez, Director of the Santiago Cultural Foundation.

The National Forum on Arts Education was implemented during the second half of 2021 by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in collaboration with the organizing institutions of Arts Education Week. It brought together 120 artistic, cultural, and educational stakeholders from across the country to participate in a national reflection process on the state of arts education, with the goal of establishing guidelines for its future in both formal and non-formal settings.
