Ministers to determine ways to make sport more ethical, inclusive and sustainable at UNESCO meeting in Kazan

Sport ministers and senior officials representing 100 UNESCO Member states will attend the 6th International Conference of Ministers and Senior Officials Responsible for Physical Education and Sport, MINEPS VI, in Kazan, Russian Federation, from 13 to 15 July 2017.
sets out to be a game changer as countries have agreed to take actions with measurable results, building on the shared values and principles they were able to identify at previous MINEPS conferences.
Participants, among them 60 sport ministers, will develop a comprehensive vision of inclusive access to sport with a view to promoting sport and physical activity among women and men of all ages and physical condition. They will also seek ways to maximize the contribution of sport to sustainable development and to protect the integrity of sport, including professional sport.
Participants at the Conference will decide on the follow-up to the adopted by MINEPS V and on a new of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport. They will furthermore examine how sport can contribute to the achievement of the UN for 2030.
