MONDIACULT 2022 | The economics of culture: Challenges and opportunities of the digital transformation

In a roundtable discussion with international experts, this side event will focus on the latest trends in the development of artificial intelligence available to cultural enterprises. Speakers will address must-haves to consider when entering the non-fungible token (NFT) market and its impact on the art and publishing market. Examples such the Brazilian book market, but also the main interests and strategies to succeed in selling rights and translations with publishers in this country will also be presented. The event will further explore the strategies for audiovisual adaptation and traditions of literary works, as well as highlight best practices for the construction of immersive narratives and storytelling, and transmedia communication to expand audiences.
The presentations will have a powerful visual component and a very light pace that will allow participants to interact through a lively conversation. The audience will be able to ask questions in real time or offline via a virtual forum built specifically for the event and accessed via a QR code, questions will be answered directly in the forum. The event will be supported by the International Authors Forum (IAF), the National Chamber of the Mexican Publishing Industry (CANIEM) and the Mexican Center for Reproduction Rights.

2. Gerardo Muños de Cote Representative for Legal Affairs and Strategic Policies of Netflix for the Americas. Literary and Audiovisual Works: Complementing Value in the Right of Adaptation. 
3.Tatiana Castelblanco Master in strategic communications from the University of Melbourne. Artificial intelligence and tips for cultural entrepreneurs to implement it in their processes. 
4. Sevani Matos representative of the Brazilian Chamber of Books. Brazilian book market and will give some tips for publishers interested in exploring this market. 
5. Andrés Ossa Director of CERLALC. New business models for the publishing sector in which blockchain technologies have been implemented, including NFTs.
