Never again is now: Harnessing the power of education to address the surge of antisemitism
UNESCO and the Permanent Representation of the European Union to UNESCO organise a high-level panel discussion on education's role in addressing rates of antisemitism and hate.

Antisemitism is on the rise online and offline, inflicting levels of hate and violence onto Jewish communities and undermining safety and security of many societies.
How can we help educators better prevent and respond to the rampant rise in hate, especially in the wake of the current situation in the Middle East? UNESCO and the Permanent Representation of the European Union to UNESCO will bring together experts from academia, education, civil society and international organisations for a high-level discussion on education’s role in combating antisemitism and other forms of hatred.
The event will explore:
- What is the impact on Jewish communities around the world?
- What are the dangers and threats to pupils and students in relation to the recent upsurge in antisemitism and other forms of hate?
- What are the most appropriate educational responses to effectively address antisemitism in all its manifestations?
The event will take place in the presence of the Director-General of UNESCO, Ms Audrey Azoulay.
