New National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy for Uzbekistan (2022-2030)
The policy development process, coordinated by the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan, is the result of the joint UNESCO and IsDB cooperation to strengthen national STI systems and build robust, evidence-based and inclusive policies.
The Policy was developed using findings and results from previous project activities, notably the report on , available in , and , published as the 10th volume of UNESCO鈥檚 .
The event was attended by the Minister and Deputy Minister of Innovative Development, as well as more than 200 participants, including representatives of the Islamic Development Bank, UNESCO, the UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, the Permanent Delegate of Uzbekistan to UNESCO, and high-level representatives of 25 ministries, Academy of Science and representatives of STI institutions in the country.
After this official presentation, UNESCO will now officially provide the STI policy document to the Ministry of Innovative Development, to be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval and adoption by decree.
