Publication of the updated response rates for the ongoing consultations (2024-2025) on the One-Stop Shop for the monitoring of the implementation of standard-setting instruments of UNESCO (status as of 31 May 2025)

Since the last month, no new States have submitted their reports on the implementation of the 1960 Convention and Recommendation against Discrimination in Education and the total response rate therefore remains at 47.42 % (status as of 31 May 2025).
The rate of responses on the implementation of the 2021 Recommendation on Open Science is 39.69 %, and 36.08 % on the implementation of the 2021 Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence.
55 responses (28.35 %) have been received for the consultation on the implementation of the 2017 Recommendation on Science and Scientific Researchers.
Detailed information on the status of ongoing consultations, both per normative instrument and per country can be found here.
It is recalled that as part of the general monitoring of the implementation of standard-setting instruments of UNESCO, the Committee on Conventions and Recommendations of the Executive Board (CR) invites at each of its sessions Member States to fulfil their legal obligations under Article VIII of the Constitution of UNESCO regarding periodic reports on the action taken upon the conventions and recommendations.
Created at the initiative of the members of the CR Committee, this One-Stop Shop aims at enabling Member States to find out about the various ongoing consultations on the implementation of the 2 conventions and 17 recommendations monitored by the Executive Board in a single place, and to be redirected directly to each of the platforms concerned, thus constituting a "one-stop shop" for the monitoring of standard-setting instruments.
Launched in March 2024 by the Office of International Standards and Legal Affairs on the occasion of the 219th session of the Executive Board, this One-Stop Shop is currently being developed with the financial support by the Government of the Swiss Confederation.
