Qatar ratifies the 2022 Revised Convention on the Recognition of Studies, Diplomas and Degrees in Higher Education in the Arab States

On 8 October 2024, Qatar deposited with the Director-General its instrument of ratification of the Revised Convention on the Recognition of Studies, Diplomas and Degrees in Higher Education in the Arab States (Paris, 2 February 2022).
Qatar is thus the third State to express its consent to be bound by the Convention.
In accordance with the terms of its Article VII.2, the Convention will enter into force one month after the date on which five of the States referred to in Article VII.1, that is to say Member States of UNESCO belonging to the Arab States region and Member States of the League of Arab States, have consented to be bound by the Convention.
