On 14 April 2025, Kyrgyzstan deposited with the Director-General its instrument of accession to the First Protocol to the Hague Convention  for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (The Hague, 14 May 1954).

In accordance with the terms of its Article 10 (b), the First Protocol will enter into force with respect to Kyrgyzstan three months after the deposit of the instrument of accession, that is to say on 14 July 2025.
