SDG4-Jordan Voluntary National Review

Through the System Strengthening Partnership (SSP) with Jordan’s Ministry of Education (MoE) programme, which is being implemented through a four-year (2019-2023) Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF) with the generous funding of Canada, the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation (Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo /AICS), Switzerland, and Norway (in-kind support), UNESCO is supporting the Ministry of Education to strengthen evidence-based strategic policy-making, planning, and coordination in support of the realization of Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality and Inclusive Education (SDG4).

The Government of Jordan has undertaken measures to improve coordination on SDG4 with the technical assistance of the UNESCO Jordan Office, including with the establishment of a National Committee for the 2030 Education Agenda and strengthening the capacities of the relevant Ministry committees to effectively measure and analyze SDG4 related data and indicators to assist in the preparation and drafting of the SDG4 Voluntary National Review in Jordan.

As a result, in December 2020, the final SDG4 Voluntary National Review Report was finalized by the MoE. The SDG4 information summary sheets contain the key findings of the report by individual SDG4 targets. The summary sheets are available in both English and Arabic.
