Sweden supports IPDC and ESD
On 28 November, the National Commission of Sweden to UNESCO announced its contributions to the International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) and to the Education for Sustainable Development activities. The contribution of SEK 100,000 (around USD 15,000) to IPDC will help to ensure that the IPDC continues to act as the UN’s mechanism for channelling international support to media in developing countries, strengthening their capacities through effective media development projects. The contribution of another SEK 100,000 (around USD 15,000) will contribute to support the preparation of the final report on the Decade for Education for Sustainable Development, and to the preparation of the roadmap for the Global Action Plan-ESD implementation.
