TENDER Reference. ÌýKHA-ITB-Museum-2021-1
Italy entrusted UNESCO to rehabilitate the Sudanese National Museum (SNM), its main building. The main building of the SNM consists of three large halls (the ground floor hall – main exposition; the 1st floor hall – Christian frescos exposition, and the store premises); the visiting / entrance area, the pass to the 1sr floor hall, and the WC area). The objective of the project – to re-think the exposition (this concerns the ground floor, 1st floor halls, and pass between them), and rehabilitate the building (everything excepting the store premises). A construction design company has been recruited to prepare design and tendering documents for rehabilitation of the building, including water proofing for the roof of the main buildings and toilets, considering previous reported cases of leakage through the roof during the rainy season in Sudan that threatened Sudanese artefacts in the Museum and the structure of the building. Additionally, toilets require water proofing to prevent leakage.
UNESCO Khartoum Office is inviting competent contractors with strong and highly regarded reputation within the industry to participate in and submit an offer for the Roof Rehabilitation and Waterproofing of the Main Building of Sudan National Museum. Tender Document will be received from UNESCO Khartoum Office - Villa 363 -Ìý Block 22 - Al-Salam St. - Al Taif, Khartoum Town – Khartoum State, between 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at no cost.
