UNESCO proposes to collectively adopt a responsible attitude towards the reproduction of unverified content circulating on social networks

Digital disinformation, unverified content circulating on social networks, has multiplied significantly throughout the world with the arrival of the Covid-19 health crisis. This poses a risk for people who interpret certain messages as often false or misleading.
In this sense, UNESCO, as an organization promotes freedom of expression and access to quality and evidence-based information and as developed six tips to keep in mind so that people can identify the disinformation they receive on their electronic devices and to stop the reproduction of these messages within your social environment
A better informed community translates into a freer society to make decisions with security and certainty
