UNESCO Director-General condemns killing of journalist Sun Lin in China

Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, condemned the killing of journalist Sun Lin in the city of Nanjing, China on 17 November 2023, and called for a transparent investigation into the circumstances.

Sun Lin, 68, was a journalist and social communicator who had previously worked for several media outlets, including Boxun News Network, Borderless and others. He was reportedly injured following an intervention by police at his home, and died in hospital.
