UNESCO joins in the special "United for Lebanon" event launched by France Télévisions

Lebanon is going through a terrible ordeal. France Télévisions is alongside the artists to organize on Thursday 1st October 2020 a great concert of support and solidarity for the benefit of Lebanon and its disaster-stricken population. UNESCO is responding to Beirut's enormous reconstruction needs through education and culture and is calling for donations.
UNESCO, of which Lebanon is a founding member, stands at your side to mobilize the international community and support the city's recovery through and for culture, heritage and education.

As a preamble to the musical evening, a new report by "Envoyé spécial" dedicated to the tragedy of the explosion in Beirut in August will be broadcast simultaneously worldwide from 8.40 pm on the French international channel TV5 Monde and . 

It will be followed by a major charity and solidarity concert live from the Olympia in Paris. For the occasion, the artistic direction has been entrusted to the famous Franco-Lebanese trumpet player Ibrahim Maalouf and many artists will be present including Matthieu Chedid, Gautier Capuçon, Clara Luciani, Melody Gardot, Madame Monsieur, Hiba Tawaji, Ycare, Khaled Mouzanar, Vianney, Oussama Rahbani, Florent Pagny, Pascal Obispo, Camélia Jordana, Daniel Lévi, Patrick Bruel, Michaël Jones, Khaled, Tryo, Bernard Lavilliers, Cyril Mokaïesh, Kyle Eastwood, Adamo, Yannick Noah, Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Astrig Siranossian, Grand Corps Malade, Sting or Mika, and the participation of the Maîtrise de Radio France.
