WCCAE 2024 | 馃摚 Partner organizations are invited to express your interest to intervene at the Thematic Sessions

 Partner Organizations of UNESCO are invited to express interest in intervening as an observer on the Thematic Sessions of the World Conference.

The Thematic Sessions will focus on the following themes:

  1. Equitable access to culture and arts education
  2. Quality and Relevant Lifelong and Life-wide Learning in, through and with Cultural Diversity
  3. Skills to shape resilient, just and sustainable futures  
  4. Institutionalization and valorization of culture and arts education ecosystems
  5. Culture and arts education through digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI)
  6. Partnerships and financing in support of culture and arts education
  7. Monitoring, research and data

Should you wish to intervene on one of the Thematic Sessions, please identify two preferred themes among the seven aforementioned. UNESCO will inform each Observer the Thematic Session in which the latter will intervene.

Interventions by Observers should not exceed 2 minutes.

In line with the ministerial status of the Conference, interventions on Thematic Sessions will abide by the following order: Member States, Associate Members and Observers (Non-Member States, intergovernmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and other relevant entities).

Interventions may be delivered in any of the six official languages of the United Nations (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish). Simultaneous interpretation will be available. Speakers are invited to indicate the language of their two minutes鈥 intervention.

Interventions shall address the theme of the selected Thematic Session focusing on core messages, as well as challenges, areas of achievement and lessons with a view to contribute to the global forward-looking reflection on culture and arts education.

Confirm your interest in intervening by sending an e-mail to the UNESCO Secretariat at wccae2024@unesco.org, with the following information in English or in French by Tuesday 06 February 2024, noon (Paris time), at the latest:

  1. The selected theme among the seven options of Thematic Sessions;
  2. The name of your organization;
  3. The name and functional title of the representative of your organization who will take the floor; and
  4. The transcript of the intervention in English or in French, which should not exceed 2 minutes intervention.
