Webinar on Protecting the Rights of Persons with Disabilities during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Indonesia: the Role of the Cities
UNESCO and the Association of Indonesian Cities (APEKSI) will deliver a webinar on 鈥淧rotecting the Rights of Persons with Disabilities during the COVID-19 Pandemic鈥 on 18 August 2020, from 1 to 3 PM (GMT+7). The online seminar will bring together the Indonesian Network of Mayors for Inclusive Cities, the representatives of Indonesian Disability Association (PPDI), Indonesian Association for Women with Disability (HWDI), as well as other partners in the government and civil society. The participants will consider and discuss national and local policies enacted in the context of COVID-19 that have significant impact on persons with disabilities and on their rights. The webinar aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices among the municipal governments in Indonesia that have proven to be effective in safeguarding the rights of persons with disabilities from COVID-19 related risks.
