UNESCO in Nepal works collaboratively within the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework as its key reference. Engaging across its mandate, the Organization supports quality and inclusive education for all, promotes the rich natural and cultural heritage, as well as the country’s emergent creative industries, mobilizes scientific knowledge to inform development, advocates for press freedom and freedom of expression, promotes media and information literacy, and works towards addressing hate speech. Indigenous communities and Nepali youth, especially young women and girls, represent its core constituencies.
