Silk Roads Heritage Corridors in Central Asia

The “Silk Road Heritage Corridors in Central Asia” project, implemented by UNESCO and funded by the EU from 2018 to 2024, aimed to safeguard cultural heritage, raise awareness of the shared legacy of the Silk Roads, and promote sustainable development through heritage-based tourism. By encouraging regional cooperation, museum networking, and the creation of unified travel routes, the project highlighted the Silk Roads as a bridge between East and West.
