Description

The project is dedicated to evaluating the adoption and abandonment of Rainwater Collection Systems (SCALL) across 120 sites in CDMX, considering technical, economic, social, and cultural factors. It aims to assess knowledge of these systems, including maintenance, operation, and disinfection processes, with results disaggregated by gender to inform public policy decision-making. The findings will guide the identification of alternative water sources, assess rainwater quality, and understand gender differences in the adoption and maintenance of these systems. These insights are crucial for directing investments for installing SCALL systems in CDMX, with broader implications for other regions in Mexico.
