UNESCO Transcultura’s component on twinning and partnership for cultural exchange and cooperation fosters cultural collaboration and exchange of good practices between individuals, artist associations, individual and collective projects from the Caribbean and Europe.

In particular, twinnings correspond to short-term exchanges between cultural events and festivals in the Caribbean and European countries, while partnerships refer to strategic associations with high-level international initiatives to provide timely showcases and launching platforms for emerging artists and professionals from the cultural and creative industries sector.

By encouraging cooperation based on mobility and exchange, this component promotes long-term knowledge sharing and peer learning in the cultural and creative industries as well as facilitates market access.
