Soenke Ziesche holds a PhD in Natural Sciences from the University of Hamburg, Germany, which he received within a Doctoral Program in Artificial Intelligence. He has worked since 2000 for the United Nations in data and information management. He has written various peer-reviewed articles about AI safety and ethics. He has authored for UNESCO Open Data and AI Guidelines for Member States and the “UNESCO State of the Education Report for India 2022: AI in Education”, the annual flagship report of UNESCO India. He was also Senior Researcher for AI at Maldives National University. He is based in New York.
