Scottish launch of the 2023 GEM Report

Moray House School of Education and Sport at The University of Edinburgh is hosting the Scotland Launch of 2023 UNESCO GEM Report with contributions from the Scottish Government, the UN House, and the School of Education, University of Glasgow. The launch takes place in Holyrood Campus, Edinburgh on Monday, 6 November 2023 as in-person, public event. The proceedings of main event are broadcast live on @MorayHouseSchoolofEducation on YouTube.

The 2023 UNESCO GEM Report is entitled 鈥渢echnology in education: A tool on whose terms?鈥. The Scotland launch of this report brings together government representatives, academics, students, and industry experts working on technology in education. They discuss the report鈥檚 recommendations for the global landscape of education, and specifically, for Scotland.

The launch aims to: 

  1. Present the findings of the 2023 UNESCO GEM Report.
  2. Highlight examples of good practices around the world on the use of technology in education.
  3. Showcase the experience of Scotland and discuss how the global recommendations from the report resonate with the national realities.

The launch will be immediately followed by a student only event. If you are a student an interested in learning more about the GEM report and careers in international organisations, you are invited to stay for the student only event.
