SDG4 HLSC Leader & Sherpa

The SDG4 Youth & Student Network is the official body representing youth and students in the SDG4 High-Level Steering Committee (HLSC), the global apex body for decision-making in education, composed of Ministers of Education and representatives of civil society, international organizations, donors, private sector and foundations.

A Leader and a Sherpa are elected among peers to represent the youth and students as a constituency in the SDG4 High-Level Steering Committee (HLSC). One of them is a youth representative, and the other is a student representative. Mid-term, their reverse their roles.

Ahead of each HLSC meeting or global forum on education they are asked to contribute to, they consult the Network to ensure that their positions reflect the Network perspectives.
