Traditional Pacific Cuisine

Colombia - Intangible Cultural Heritage for Sustainable Development

Colombia

The fires of the Pacific, the rooftop herbs, the songs and oral tradition, are part of the singularities of the culinary heritage of the municipality of Tumaco and the department of Sucre in Colombia, where important aspects of everyday life, rituals, health systems, food sovereignty, knowledge about the territory, of which its bearers are proud, are mixed.

This ancestral knowledge is part of the identity of the Afro people, the care of the environment, the productive development of their people and the culture of peace, giving them a dignified livelihood.
