School administrators made great efforts to continue education safely, which has been little studied. This analysis seeks to extract lessons and insights for future curriculum development. During the pandemic, the curriculum was prioritised, and greater autonomy was given to teachers, in addition to implementing distance education modalities and addressing socio-emotional factors affecting learning.
The study also highlights that many curricula are considered excessive by specialists and teachers, and that curriculum reforms are not always effectively implemented in classrooms. The experiences and strategies developed during the pandemic could offer valuable perspectives for improving education in the region.
