On 5 October 2022, Cabo Verde deposited with the Director-General its instrument of ratification of the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education (Paris, 25 November 2019).

In accordance with the terms of its Article XVIII, the Convention shall enter into force three months after the date of deposit of the twentieth instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval, or accession, but only with regard to those States Parties which have deposited their respective instruments of ratification, acceptance, approval, or accession on or before that date. As of the above-mentioned date of deposit, eighteen instruments, including this one, had been received.
