Today, May 3, on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, UNESCO in Brazil with the partnership of national entities launch a Manifesto together. This year, as we face the COVID-19 pandemic and an "avalanche" of misinformation and fake news – what the World Health Organization called "infodemic" – the Manifesto highlights the vital importance of a free and independent press.
