UNESCO Cities Platform: Together, building sustainable cities for all
9 :00-9 :45 in the Partnerships Hub (Halle Saxe)
At the core of the UNESCO Cities Platform (UCP) resides the fundamental vision that cities are not only at the forefront in dealing with global challenges, but are also strategic hubs of resources, solutions, talents and partners. Covering all areas of expertise and action of the Organization, the UCP, with its eight member programmes and networks will jointly highlight the relevance and essentialness of holistic and multilevel approaches to sustainable development in cities. Across major development challenges and opportunities of our time, notably climate action and digital transformation, this session aims to demonstrate how the broadness and cross-cuttingness of the Platform’s scope provides multi-stakeholders and partners with numerous opportunities for collaboration.
