With this contribution, the cost of the materials and equipment provided by Transcultura to the University of the Arts amounts to nearly 400,000 dollars. The University of the Arts is one of the six Cuban institutions part of the Caribbean Cultural Training Hub, created by the Transcultura programme to strengthen professionalisation in the region's cultural and creative industries sector, through courses and scholarships. To date, the institutions of the Hub have delivered 21 online courses where 448 students from the 17 countries of Transcultura's geographical scope have been trained. In October 2023, the Hub will launch a round of face-to-face courses on topics relative to music, design and heritage, thanks to the materials provided by Transcultura.
