These series of questions on the challenges of the inscription, management and conservation of World Heritage sites will be discussed in a Round Table at the University Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar (UCAD) on May 22 to celebrate the African World Heritage Day
The UNESCO Regional Office for West Africa/ Sahel in Dakar and the doctoral school 鈥淪tudies on Man and Society鈥 (ETHOS) of UCAD will celebrate together 5th May African World Heritage Day. This year in particular it contributes to the celebrations of the 2021 Year the African Union for 鈥淎rts, culture and heritage: levers to build the Africa we want鈥.
In addition to the Round Table, a photo exhibition highlighting the exceptional value of the seven World Heritage sites in Senegal is also part of the celebrations. This 40 panels exhibit was produced by the UNESCO Dakar Office to promote and raise awareness of Senegalese World heritage. For a virtual visit click here
