Education

UNESCO Regional Office in Bangkok

Inclusive and equitable quality education can transform people’s lives and their societies – it is the heart of the entire 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. As the lead coordinating agency for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4), also known as the Education 2030 Agenda, UNESCO seeks to ensure that all persons can exercise their rights to education, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religious belief or economic status. UNESCO is the only United Nations agency whose mandate covers all aspects of education from early childhood to higher education and beyond. The Organization supports Member State efforts to achieve sustainable development targets through this comprehensive mandate.
