Documentary fond (1548-1827) that includes deeds of wills, betrothals, powers of attorney, companies (mines, commerce, business in general), employment contracts (service, apprenticeship, teaching, construction of buildings, crafts in general), deeds of loans of money with mortgage guarantee ("censos", "capellanías"), inventories of houses and rustic farms (furniture, clothing, books, farm implements); sales of slaves and movable and immovable property, freedom letters, among others; registered in the notaries of the city of La Plata, involving its inhabitants and those of the main cities of Charcas (Potosí, La Paz, Cochabamba, Oruro), in present-day Bolivia, and others from neighboring countries (Argentina, Peru, Chile, Paraguay), which at that time were part of the territorial jurisdiction of Charcas and had a close link with the city of La Plata (today Sucre). It is thus that deeds of companies are found to establish important cities in Argentina (among them Buenos Aires or Santiago del Estero and others), or to form expeditions to the territories of the current Paraguay or Chile. 

This collection contains documents that allow us to understand the construction of Charcas society in its many facets through the daily life of its inhabitants and the social networks established between them.
