This is an extensive document resulting from negotiations between the Government of Colombia and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Ejército del Pueblo las FARC-EP), between 2011 and 2016, with the participation of the victims, members of civil society and members of the armed forces.
This Agreement was a great step towards rebuilding the social fabric, fulfilling the victims´ rights to truth, justice, reparation and assurances of non-repetition, as well as the creation of a society based on coexistence and respect for the aims of a social state based on the rule of law. The file is comprised of the following documents: 1. Final agreement to end the conflict and build a firm and lasting peace (2 versions -draft and final version); 2. Minutes of the debates and 3. Proposals from citizens and organisations for the Final Peace Agreement (2016).
