GPE Variable Part financingThe variable part was introduced within the context of GPE´s broader approach of supporting and financing country progress toward large-scale and sustainable education outcomes–outlined in GPEs strategic plan, GPE 2020. Under this model, it was expected that countries propose strategies “deemed likely to lead to substantial progress in the medium-term,” linked to indicators and targets judged to be a stretch, but achievable,” and “integrated within the broader ESP framework” of developing country partner governments.
