Integration of biofortified crops into large scale public procurement programs
This project leverages public procurement to increase nutritious seeds and foods within food systems. Biofortified crops (natural staple crops with higher levels of micronutrients) are available in over 100 countries and can be integrated into public procurement programs around the world without significant behavior change or increased costs. With better nutrition, children can lead healthier more productive lives.
