The monitoring of UNESCO¡¯s Operational Strategy on Youth () and subsequent evaluations of the UNESCO 91Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ revealed shortcomings in UNESCO¡¯s engagement with youth. In response, the Director-General proposed a thorough discussion on this issue, both at the 10th UNESCO 91Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ and the 39th session of the General Conference. This document informs Member States of the context and challenges of UNESCO¡¯s engagement with youth and seeks to frame the debate on ¡°Rethinking Youth Engagement with UNESCO¡± and on the Draft Resolution proposed by the 10th UNESCO 91Â鶹¹ú²ú¾«Æ·×ÔÅÄ.
