Archives of the Administrative Department of Security (DAS), 1960-2014
The documentary collection of the extinct Administrative Department of Security (DAS) is configured as a documentary source for knowledge of the truth of the war in Colombia, since it gives an account of how the entity's performance as an intelligence agency was, it allows identifying the existence of actions or conduct to be able to attribute responsibilities associated with the serious violations of human rights as well as the infractions of international humanitarian law that occurred within the framework of the armed conflict in Colombia. As a corollary, the heritage contributes to the realization of the processes of truth, justice and reparation.
This documentary collection is made up of approximately 55,200 storage units or 13,755 linear meters of paper archives, as well as around 78 magnetic and optical media. Finally, this documentary collection includes inventories and partial lists of documentation, which requires the implementation of a special plan for the management and protection of archival documentary nature.
