During the year 2006, the trials for crimes against humanity started again. These trials prosecute the human rights violations committed on the implementation of state terrorism in Argentina, which took place on a
national scale during the last civic dictatorship between 1976 and 1983. This was possible thanks to the annulment of impunity laws that prevented the prosecution of those responsible.
That same year, the CPM began to record the hearings of the trials referring to crimes perpetrated in Buenos Aires, one of the areas that suffered the most from state violence. The decision was based on consolidating a broad concept of the principle of publicity, promoting its diffusion, and creating a public access archive that would document the judicial process and testimony of victims and relatives.
Up to and including 2023, 22 trials were registered: Etchecolatz; Von Wernich; Unidad 9; Suárez Nelson Corvalán; Desaparición de Carlos Moreno; Circuito Camps; Apropiación de Sebastián Casado Tasca; Hermanos Laccarino; Apropiación de Elena Gallinari Abinet; Policías de Junín; FUERTAR 5; Asesinato de Favero y Álvarez; CNU; La Cacha; Lucio Ramírez; Operativos Policía Federal; La Cueva I; Brigada de San Justo; Batallón 601; Banfield, Quilmes y Lanús; Pozo de Arana; Hogar de Belén.
