Operation Cirirí is the name that Fabiola Lalinde and her family gave to the process of seeking justice for the forced disappearance and homicide of her son Luis Fernando Lalinde Lalinde, in events that occurred on October 3, 1984, in the village of Verdún in the municipality of Jardín, department of Antioquia (Colombia), in which the responsibility of the State was demonstrated. This is acknowledged in the ruling of the Council of State, Action for direct Reparation (docket 05001-23-26000-1990-05197-01-19939- of September 27, 2013) and in resolution 24 of 1987 of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (Case No. 9620), declaring that the Colombian State violated the right to integrity of Luis Fernando Lalinde.

For thirty years, Fabiola Lalinde and her family not only worked tirelessly to find out the fate of Luis Fernando, but based on their experience, they supported other victims of this scourge. They thus managed to gather a unique file, consisting of manuscripts, photographs, maps, identity documents, as well as the different complaints and actions filed by Fabiola herself to obtain information about the disappearance and death of her son. This file constitutes a legacy and a source of information for all those people and communities that want to know both about this particular case and about the references of the investigation of a widespread phenomenon in Colombia.
