Presentation
Association ONY aims to develop training opportunities in the film sector for young people through:
1)Establishing the first certified 3D animation school;2)Implementing a pilot training program for a cohort of learners;3)Contributing to the emergence of a regional ecosystem for animation-related professions.
How does this project contribute to the implementation of the 2005 Convention?
Establishing policy, advocacy, and promotion mechanisms to improve access to local, national, or international markets for cultural goods and services:
The project will support the creation of a strong network of professional partnerships and enhance the visibility of cultural creations through participation in international events and festivals.
Supporting networks and initiatives that facilitate the mobility of artists and cultural professionals:
The project will enable the mobility of Malagasy artists and professionals, fostering collaboration with other schools and institutions across the region and in Europe.
Increasing the representation of women as creators and producers of cultural expressions by strengthening professional networks and capacity-building:
The project promotes gender equality by reserving 60% of program spots for women and organizing dedicated exchange sessions.
Main Activities
- Intensive Training: The technical and entrepreneurial skills of 12 learners in 3D animation will be certified through a 12-month intensive training cycle.
- Employment Opportunities: Learners’ access to job opportunities will be enhanced through specialized entrepreneurship modules and networking with local, regional, and international stakeholders.
- Regional Development: A strong regional ecosystem for animation careers will be developed. The project will foster regional collaborations via strategic partnerships with local and international studios.
- Awareness Raising: An awareness campaign will be conducted across Madagascar. Decentralized summer schools in three cities will train and engage more young talents in the regions.
