Presentation

The Libertad Metropolitan Park Foundation aims to enhance educational opportunities in the cultural and creative industries, fostering youth empowerment and advancing gender equality, by: 1) providing specialized education programmes in design, visual arts and technology; 2) establishing an immersive Experimentation Center to enhance cultural diversity and digital literacy; 3) developing and systematizing an innovative educational model tailored to the cultural creative industries.

How does this project contribute to the implementation of the 2005 Convention?

Applying innovation and new business models for the creation, production, distribution of access to diverse cultural goods and services.

The project will support the establishment of the Immersive Experimentation Center, which will expand participation in the creative industries, particularly for young women from vulnerable communities.

Addressing critical  capacity development needs relating to creation, production, and distribution.

The project will support targeted education programmes focused on technical skills and entrepreneurship.

Increasing women’s representation as creators and producers of cultural expressions through strengthened professional networks and capacity development.

The project will support targeted training and opportunities for 20 young women from vulnerable communities. Gender equality is embedded throughout the project via quotas, gender-focused research and its integration into educational frameworks, promoting structural and sustainable change in the cultural and creative industries.

Main activities

  • Market study and technical training: Analyzing the global creative industries related to design, visual arts, media arts and technology and proposing new innovative, creative and entrepreneurial technical training for the 4,512 people benefiting from La Libertad’s programs.
  • Supporting women creators: Designing and implementing an educational program for the employability, entrepreneurship and innovation of 20 young women.
  • Immersive Experimentation Center: With an innovative business model, establishing a center that enhances skills in creative technological entrepreneurship, reaching 6,000 children and young people annually through its activities.
