Chad’s film industry faces different challenges, such as a high level of informality and a lack of funding. For the sector to reach its full potential, the sector will also have to adapt to the digital transition.

Within this framework, Chad is receiving support from UNESCO for the elaboration of a Chadian Film Code, which will aim to strengthen the promotion and protection of the film industry. The aim is to strengthen access to funding for cinema professionals in Chad and to provide training opportunities in the film industry to better promote the diversity of cultural expressions of the country.
